Lisa Binnie is a multidisciplinary artist driven to investigate her surrounding landscape. She makes still and durational image-based and sculptural works, and hosted the public art walking event Port Lands Sensory Walk (http://www.portlandswalk.com/).
Lisa’s current focus is the development of Toronto’s urban waterfront, where she documents the landscape and collects samples that provide clues to its current and past uses. Her projects are longterm: immersive and experiential, they involve close observation, research and networking.
When she’s not haunting the waterfront, Lisa can be found in central Ontario where she teaches part-time at Fleming College’s Haliburton School of Art + Design. She is exhibiting her work in three shows in 2017 at Cedar Ridge Creative Centre, G44 at Gallery 1313, and Centre 3 for Print in Hamilton.
